The World and Country Group Aggregates (historically called BOPSY) is an annual publication, released each November, of major balance of payments and international investment position components for countries, country groups, and the world.
What the numbers show
Goods, Debit/Expenditure (US dollar) is currently reported for 198 countries. The highest value is 3.30 trillion in United States; the lowest is 35.10 million in Tuvalu.
The median across all reporting countries is 13.94 billion, and the mean is 114.82 billion.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 93,867.
Over the past decade 172 countries rose and 24 fell. The largest increase was in Gambia, The (up 320.2%), and the largest decrease in South Sudan, Republic of (down 53.9%).
