The World and Country Group Aggregates (historically called BOPSY) is an annual publication, released each November, of major balance of payments and international investment position components for countries, country groups, and the world.
What the numbers show
Services, Debit/Expenditure (US dollar) is currently reported for 198 countries. The highest value is 840.88 billion in United States; the lowest is 28.31 million in Montserrat, United Kingdom-British Overseas Territory.
The median across all reporting countries is 3.82 billion, and the mean is 39.48 billion.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 29,707.
Over the past decade 170 countries rose and 26 fell. The largest increase was in Guyana (up 885.4%), and the largest decrease in Angola (down 66.0%).
